Green Apple Smoothie

The idea of green apples always sticks a cord with me as being refreshing. In our fruit bin, we always try to keep one of two Granny Smiths for eating or for smoothies.  Today we are going to make another green smoothie, this one is very different in flavor from our Lean Green Pina Colada. This one has a nice sweet and sour twist to the rich green smoothie.  The green apple smoothie is a great go to after a few days of heavy eating.  I always feel that having a little extra fruit and vegetable balances me out. At least in my head, I hope that this is true…LOL  Either way, this is a delicious way to get some extra greens into everyone.  My husband actually likes this smoothie the best, it could be that he just likes green apples. 🙂  As always, make it and enjoy!

Green Apple Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:IMG_6661.jpg

  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 1 green apple (cored and sliced)
  • 1 cup of frozen spinach
  • 1 cup of favorite vegan milk (I like to use flax milk.)
  • juice of 1/2 of a lemon
  • 6 green grapes (approximately: 1/3 cup)

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients into a blender. 
  2. Blend till the mixture is smooth.
  3. Serve and enjoy!

This recipe makes 3 serving.
