Mango Protein Smoothie
This particular recipe is inspired by one of my favorite Indian drink and it is the mango lassi. Traditionally the recipe involves mangoes and yogurt. Since most restaurants do not have dairy-free yogurt, I haven’t had it for a while. After my run today, I really had a massive craving for it and decided I would make my own version with an extra protein boost. I gathered some ripe mangoes that I happen to have on my counter, some spices and flax milk. If you don’t have flax, you can definitely use another vegan milk in place of flax milk. This recipe results in a delicious thick and creamy mango smoothie…Enjoy!
Mango Protein Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of diced ripe mangoes
- 1 cup of ice
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of unsweetened vegan milk
- 1 scoop of your favorite vegan vanilla protein powder
- 1 teaspoon of fresh lime juice
- pinch of ground cinnamon
- (optional) pinch of ground cardamom
Directions:
- Blend all the ingredients in a blender till it is smooth.
- Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy!
